We all get lost: Don't let slight dementia stop you...

Dementia is progressive decline in cognitive function due to damage or disease in the brain beyond what might be expected from normal aging. Particularly affected areas may be memory, attention, language and problem solving, although particularly in the later stages of the condition, affected persons may be disoriented in time (not knowing what day, week, month or year it is), place (not knowing where they are) and person (not knowing who they are). For many this means loss of many personal freedoms like ability to drive, meet with friends and family on his/her own, daily activities such as grocery shopping and the like.

Mobile GPS systems can aid seniors with slight dementia finding their way. We all get lost and a mobile GPS system is designed to provide real-time, easy to use, graphical and voice directions to get us back on trach. Systems can be purchased from companies like Tom Tom , Garmin and Magellan from the $100s on up.
